Live cams from France

Regulars go by a nicer name in a French chat: les habitués. A room with a few of them feels like a café you return to, where the host remembers your name and the conversation picks up where it left off last week.

French is the language of the chat, with English close at hand for visitors. For viewers in Québec the timing is a gift, since a Paris late evening falls in the Montréal afternoon, so the exchange feels local even across an ocean. Belgium and Switzerland simply share the clock, and from most of Europe the hour is the same or close to it. Further east the evening comes a little sooner, so French rooms switch on as your own night is settling in.

A bonsoir on arrival is the easy opener, and hosts who prefer English will tell you so in their first reply. Some rooms are slow and chatty, others explicit from the start; the topic line tells you which, and the host sets the pace from there. Weekend nights often stretch later, when nobody has an early train to catch, and the chat loosens up accordingly.
